Abstract :

This work involves the development of a bioplastic replacement for non-degradable plastics in packaging. The objective was to produce polylactic acid (PLA) from sugarcane molasses with locally produced Lactobacillus delbrucckii. Polylactic acid is a biosourced and biodegradable polymer, it can be plasticized. The lactic acid bacteria necessary for the synthesis were isolated and identified as Lactobacillus delbrucckii following their characteristics. The sugar cane molasses used came from the KwiluNgongo sugar mill with a concentration of 410.9 g/L of fermentable sugar. 1L of diluted molasses was fermented with the inoculum of Lactobacillus delbrucckii in a ratio of 10/1. This fermentation produced 98 g of lactic acid after purification (63.6%). Lactic acid was polymerized to polylactic acid (92%), via lactide (78.46%), by ring opening. Lactobacillus delbrucckii colonies were characterized by Gram staining, catalase test, morphology, appearance of the colony and mode of fermentation. The Brix degree, pH, density and fermentable sugar level were determined on the molasses. The polymer obtained had a brittle behavior when heated and its mixture with 5% glycerol gelled more weakly than in the presence of 10% glycerol.

Abstract :

This study is based on the entrepreneurial intentions of young Congolese who live in an economic environment that is very rich in natural resources but relatively poor in the spirit of entrepreneurship and capitalising on their country's natural resources. Few studies have been carried out into the entrepreneurial intentions of young people in the Congolese context. This is why we wanted to make a contribution in this field by using documentary techniques through an analysis of the literature and the inductive method to arrive at a synthesis. We concluded that the capitalisation of natural resources in the entrepreneurial intention of young Congolese remains an important step for the development of entrepreneurship in the country.

Abstract :

This article consists of a petrographic study of the Kwilu limestone in the Lukala subgroup mined at Songololo by the Cimenterie Kongo (CIMKO). From a macroscopic point of view, 22 boreholes were described and divided into three lithofacies. Analysis of the samples brought back to the laboratory showed micrite diagenesis, transforming into microsparite and sparite. The interest of this study lies on the petrographic study of the different types of lithofacies in the mined limestone and their classification in the local stratigraphic scale. Three lithofacies types were identified: light grey, greenish grey and dark grey, classified within the Bulu and Luanza formations of the Kwilu unit.

Abstract :

The administrative services of the Ministry of Health are not immune to the multifaceted crises affecting the Congolese public administration. As administration is both the foundation and backbone of public management in a country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a nation where archival science, in all its nobility, plays a vital role in good governance. If administrations continue to thrive at the beginning of the 20th century, it is due to the importance of archival documents, which every modern and organized nation strives to preserve well, as an essential tool of national memory. Archives are data with an indefinite lifespan and cannot be materials that disappear. The observation within the General Secretariat of Health is that archives are thrown haphazardly into dark rooms where they are exposed to the elements and various kinds of rodents. Under these conditions, the disappearance of historical data is inevitable, which could constitute a significant loss, especially as some documents exist in a single copy and, once destroyed, they cannot be reconstructed.

Abstract :

Planetary gearboxes are essential for reducing the rotational speed of electric motors to a suitable level for cement production equipment, such as grinders and kilns. By integrating a preventative maintenance strategy for these reducers, the cement plant can minimize unplanned downtime, optimize performance and extend the useful life of the equipment. This involves regular inspections, replacing worn parts before they fail, and properly lubricating components to ensure optimal operation. By investing in effective preventative maintenance, cement plants can save money in the long term by avoiding high costs associated with emergency repairs and production interruptions. The impact of a planetary gearbox in a cement plant therefore becomes significant.

Abstract :

Despite its immense agricultural potential (arable land, rivers, climate, etc.), the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) remains a poor country. Unemployment among young people in rural areas, with or without qualifications, is as high as 80%. Yet agriculture could employ over 60% of the population and contribute to the country's food security. This agriculture must be professional, which is where the agripreneur concept comes from. The agripreneur profession can only succeed if technical and financial support structures are put in place. That's what this article is about.

Abstract :

The Democratic Republic of Congo knew tumultuous reports/ratios of co-operation with Belgium. These reports/ratios suffered from the tensions and normality during the decades. The advent of the third legislature of the Third Republic revitalized the relations that had been strained in previous years. The recent visit of King Philippe of Belgium was sealed by the bilateral agreements of economic co-operation attesting a new era of the good agreement between the two countries. On what the economic co-operation between Belgium and the Democratic Republic of Congo is based? The population congolaise does it benefit of this bilateral co-operation? To reach the explanation of our study, we chose to use the conventionnism like method. It was supplemented by the documentary technique. Ultimately, the population congolaise does not benefit repercussions of the redynamisation of the economic co-operation between Belgium and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The bilateral co-operation in the sectors of mines, of small and medium-sized undertakings, in transport and hotel trade does not support with a very high threshold, the economic growth because of the lack of capacity of management of Congolese.

Abstract :

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, despite the sufficient availability of fresh water, distribution by the competent service remains a puzzle for the population in peripheral and rural areas. The rate of access to drinking water is very low, or even nonexistent, as is the case for the population of Mikala I and II neighborhoods. In the absence of hydraulic networks for the distribution of drinking water, women and girls are forced to walk long hours daily in search of water. To conduct this study on the Kinshasa girl and the water chore, a cross-sectional survey by questionnaire was carried out on 200 school-aged girls in the Mikala I and II neighborhoods. The selection of respondents was done randomly. The results obtained are as follows: 48% of the respondents arrive late to school, 46% are absent, and 77% had to drop out of school. It is also noteworthy that the collection of water exposes girls to physical, moral, and sexual violence, as well as health problems. Consequently, even with the free basic education promoted by the Congolese government, young girls from Mikala I and II neighborhoods will have difficulty benefiting from it. A large number of girls drop out of school because of the water chore, which represents a loss for the nation, as it is said that to educate a woman is to educate a nation.
