Abstract :
A high and worrying number of finalist students who return to the 2nd session after failing some courses in the 1st session, repeaters and those eliminated from the nursing program, encourage us to talk about low success in the national jury. The low success of finalists impacts on family planning and remains a subject of debate and current affairs on the scientific level where each accuses the other especially in the sense of incompetence; During the study, we identified and explained the factors determining the low success of finalist students in the national jury. The poor recruitment of teachers and students, the proletarian state of parents, the poor administrative management of medical schools and the poor support of the organizing power of health science education and the government are factors underlying the low success of finalists; Our study was conducted in ITMs not under reform. When carrying out this study, we chose the survey method and the technique of interview, observation and documentary analysis. The questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument. Our Target Population consists of students and managers of ITMs over a period from 2017 to 2019. The sample is simple random and its size is 97 candidates distributed in 7 Institutes. The cumulative average of successes was 23.4% in the first session; a large number of failures was recorded in community health (55.1%) and Professional Technology (53.2%); the rate of eliminations was 22.8% for all ITMs.
