Abstract :

The aim of this work is to improve our knowledge of the petrography of the geological formations of Mogoro, precisely in the N4/20 square degree. Specifically, we wanted to know whether the Mogoro geological formations possess petrographic characteristics that would enable us to classify them. We also wanted to know their mineralogical composition. After taking 6 rock samples in the field, we first described them macroscopically. The samples were then sent to the CRGM laboratory for microscopic description. This enabled us to classify our rocks as quartz arenites.
