Abstract :

This study aims to carry out an in-depth analysis of the geology of the iron deposit in question and to explore its exploitation potential. By combining field observations, drilling operations, geological analyzes and the use of modeling tools, our intention is to achieve an in-depth understanding of the composition, distribution and geological characteristics of the iron deposit of Bekisopa discovered by H. Besairie in 1933. The evaluation of iron reserves was carried out by applying geostatistical methods, in particular kriging. Data from drilling, together with geological information from three-dimensional models, were used to establish variograms and spatial continuity models. This approach made it possible to arrive at a quantitative estimate of the iron reserves present in the deposit. A total of thirty boreholes were carried out over an area of one square kilometer. These drilling data were crucial to calculate a volume of the deposit of around 25,000,000 cubic meters, taking into account an average density of the deposit of 4,500 kg/m3 and an average grade of 40%. This estimate led to a value of ferrous resources of around forty million (40,000,000) tonnes. Given that the ore is at a relatively accessible depth on the surface, the option of open pit mining presents itself as a feasible and attractive alternative. This type of mining involves extracting ore from large open pits, an economically viable approach when mineral resources are located near the surface.

Abstract :

The development of commercial activities on the campus of the National Pedagogical University (UPN) contributes to the degradation of the environment of this university site, to the extent that the means of evacuation do not follow. Our study consists of identifying the types of waste produced by commercial activities and the different disposal routes in order to reduce the consequences of different types of waste on the environment. To achieve these objectives, we used the documentary methodological approach and the interview technique. Considering the results resulting from this study, it appears that waste disposal poses a problem.

Abstract :

He/it cleared himself/itself of this survey dedicated to the problematic of the exercise of the small trade in Democratic Republic of Congo, whose Congolese retailers always met some difficulties in relation to the application of the texts that interdissent to the expatriates to exercise the small trades so the trade in detail. Indeed, the authorize-law n°90-046 of August 08, 1990 on the small trade proved to be inapplicable because of access of these conditions of exercise that are little realistic and didn't take into account the realities socioeconomic that define the present conjuncture of our country, of the phenomenon of instruction lack noticed among most retailers, from where the presence of the decree n°011/37 of October 11 2011 structural measure of conservation concerning exercise of the small trade and the trade in detail, of the authorize-law n°13/009 of February 23, 2013 modified and completed some incomplete arrangements some in matters of the small trade. In end, he/it appeared that the reasons of an applicability of the law resulted from the lack of the popularization of these laws that foiled thus to the requirements of a sécurisation of the activities of the small trade as well as the efficient controls. Because this sector of the small trade plays an important role so much in the economy by his/her/its contribution the use that by his/her/its weight in the added value.

Abstract :

In the preamble of the charter of the United Nations, it is underlined that the peoples of the world commit to encourage the socioeconomic progress and to institute the best conditions of life in a bigger liberty. It is in this context that the Program of the Nations-United has been created for the Development, in UNDP acronym. Thus, the UNDP helps the developmental countries to use their natural and human resources, to raise their standard of living, better to fight against the different reasons of poverty while reinforcing the food security and the offer in the centers of welcomes and in service of basis, while encouraging the creation of jobs. Our question of survey is to know what is the contribution of the UNDP in the struggle against poverty in Democratic Republic of the Congo. The object of our survey is that poverty is an individual drama lived to the daily by each of us. Of this fact, the struggle hired against her that is a struggle of survival, interest more than 90% of the Congolese that are victims of it. On that, it is necessary to attenuate this drama. As for the present survey, we are going to use the method structuro-fonctionnaliste. Because it is going to allow us to understand the organization and the working of UNDP as well as its role, with regard to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This method will be completed by the documentary technique. Finally, the UNDP contributed in the struggle against the socioeconomic poverty through the domain of good governance, the sector of the protection of the environment and then in the setting of the humanitarian aid. It makes itself that the contribution of the UNDP was derisory considering the needs of the Congolese population, victim of the degrading socioeconomic conditions. However, the UNDP has for role to promote the national development, to put an end to poverty and to institute the peace locally thanks to managed and sustained activities.

Abstract :

The effect of acid activation of some clay materials in the South-East of the Democratic Republic of Congo was studied, in the interest of considering the substitution of imported clays as adsorbents. Depending on abundance, type of supporting soil and accessibility in this region, six clay materials were chosen including two taken from the montmorillonite-rich soils (Malambwe and Kasenga), one from the kaolinite-rich soil (Kazembe) and three others (Lufira, Kalubwe, and Kyowelo) taken from soils with equivalent proportions of montmorillonite and kaolinite. Acid concentration, time, temperature and impregnation ratio were studied during activation for which the effect was evaluated by the cation exchange capacity (CEC) after contact with a solution of methylene blue as adsorbate. The results showed that activation did not significantly improve the adsorbent power with increases in CEC which barely exceeded 30% with the exception of the Kazembe sample which gave an increase of 50%. Clay materials can therefore be used without prior activation and remain competitive in this case the samples rich in montmorillonite which gave the best CEC values of 110 mmol/100g for Malambwe and 82 mmol/100g for Kasenga, the others having values less than 73 mmol/100g. However, these performances remain slightly lower than those of imported clays which gave 143 and 119 mmol/100g respectively for Bentonite and Tonsil

Abstract :

Context: The Uvariodendron genus comprises wild plants with multiple therapeutic uses, the valorization of which could contribute to improving the management of several diseases and their integration into the national agribusiness strategy. Objective: This study aims to provide an overview of current knowledge about this genus in order to guide future research. Methodology: A bibliographic search of articles related to Uvariodendron was conducted in various electronic databases (Science Direct, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, SciELO, etc.), using keywords such as Uvariodendron, phytochemistry, pharmacology, and toxicology. Results and Discussion: The available literature on plants of the Uvariodendron genus indicates that they contain flavonoids, tannins, quinones, saponins, alkaloids, steroids, terpenoids, anthocyanins, etc. These plants possess anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, antimicrobial, urotonic, antisickle cell, and other properties. Toxicological studies have shown that U. anisatum (originating from Kenya) is toxic in rats. However, U. molundense (originating from the DRC) is not cytotoxic, indicating a certain degree of safety. Conclusion and Perspectives: The results of this study demonstrate that the Uvariodendron genus could be used for various therapeutic applications. However, clinical studies are necessary to rigorously establish their effectiveness and safety. Additionally, the integration of U. molundense into the national agribusiness strategy in the DRC can contribute to the country's economic, environmental, and social sustainability while preserving its biodiversity and medicinal traditions.

Abstract :

The aim of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of the African Union's peace and Security Council in the prevention and resolution of conflicts in Africa. To do this, we used an exploratory methodology to examine literature related to the subject using documentary techniques. Through this research, we found that the African Union faces challenges and criticism for its ineffectiveness in peacekeeping operations. This is due to the lack of sufficient human, financial and logistical resources for the continental institution. Therefore, African leaders should strengthen relations and capabilities in order to monitor and combat peace and security violations and achieve stability on the continent. In addition, African States must support regional initiatives that should be more important than UN interventions and point to practical and efficient arguments and legal considerations.

Abstract :

This manuscript examines the health expenditures of economic agents in the Democratic Republic of Congo (households, Government, and their external technical and financial partners). The low level of income hinders access to appropriate health care given the high costs of health care in the DRC. As a result, the government and its various technical and financial partners must intervene in the health sector to ensure that vulnerable households are protected from ruinous expenses. At the same time, it provides an overview of public finances in the health sector in the DRC using a theoretical approach, and analyzes the effects of Government intervention and of its external technical and financial partners using a vector auto regression (VAR) model, through simulations of random shocks and variance decomposition. This analysis is carried out assuming the constancy of the socio-economic environment "all other things being equal". The result is that the per capita household health expenditure forecasts can be significantly improved at the 0.05 threshold by the per capita public health expenditure and by the per capita health expenditure forecasts of the Government external technical and financial partners.
