Abstract :
This study was conducted in the province of Mai-Ndombe, Democratic Republic of Congo. Its objective was to inventoried and value the medicinal plants used by the local population. To do this, the floristico-ecological and phytogeographic methods have been applied. The previous examination of this investigation allowed to establish a floral list of 270 medicinal species belonging to 195 genera and 74 families in which the Fabaceae are the most dominant with 32 species, or 11.9%. This flower is composed mostly of woody plants; usually several species of phanerophytes, mesophylls, sarcochores, mainly forest and belong to the pantropical and guineo-congolese elements.
